Project background
In order to turning Railway stations into platforms for Digital inclusion, Railway has provided state of the art public WiFi. Currently 6108+ stations are live with RailTel’s RailWire Wi-Fi. This is one of the largest and fastest public Wi-Fi networks of the world. RailTel intend to provide Wi-Fi at all (except the halt ones) Railway stations and only few hundred stations are left to reach the mark. Passengers can use this facility for streaming High Definition (HD) Videos, download of movies, songs, games, and do their offices work online within the station premises.
The Wi-Fi is free for the first 30 min of usage every day at 1 mbps speed. For using the Wi-Fi facility further at higher speed, the user needs to choose a plan with higher speed by paying a nominal fee.
Solution
Our 2528P and 2510P have been applied in the network, uplink port connects to railway main network, and downlink connect WIFI access point to give connectivity to passenger. Passenger Enter Mobile and get one-time password (OTP) through SMS, Enter OTP and start accessing High speed Wi-Fi

Enable reliable and available connectivity to passenger.
Giving passenger a seamless and intelligent internet experience. passenger in station can use their mobile phone to get free internet access within 30 mins，and if needed they can pay for high speed connectivity or time extension.
